WELCOME!

St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in El Dorado Hills stands in a long tradition of Christian worship and service.

We seek to be faithful to the Lord whose ministry touched the lives of all sorts of people.  That means that there is no one “church” kind of person.  You are the person who is welcome here!

We invite you to bring your questions, your joys, and your hurts.  We stand in a very long tradition of people on a spiritual pilgrimage, exploring our relationship to God.

Who are Lutherans?  Lutherans were the first to be called “Protestants,” because Martin Luther protested various abuses in the medieval church.  We are the second largest Protestant church in the world.  Our own corner of the Lutheran family is the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (www.elca.org).  We value our relationships and cooperation with the rest of the Christian church throughout the world.

Pastor Ron

In practical ways we are present to our world from meals and housing to disaster response and sustainable development.

We celebrate God’s presence among us in Word and Sacrament.

We invite you to join us in our pilgrimage of faith.
